Long Hiatus

In 2000 I, along with Jeremy Bigwood, received a grant from the John and Catherine MacArthur Foundation to research the phenomenon of a fungus which had been killing coca plants, the basic ingredient in cocaine, in Peru throughout the 1990s. It was entitled: Mycoherbicides against Drug Crops: Biocontrol or Biowarfare. In the following days I will chronicle the events following the grant.
